When deciding on a kitten for sale, there are a number of things to consider:

• Coat length
  Long haired cats, particularly with thick coats, need daily grooming. They also tend to shed more on clothes, furniture and floors. And in very hot climates, they can get uncomfortable. If you're someone who wears a lot of dark colors, and you buy a white, long haired cat ... you'll either have to have a lot of patience, or cello tape (to clean your clothes), or both :-)
  
  
• Pedigrees v's non-pedigrees
  Pedigree cats are obvioulsy more expensive, but if there's a particular breed or coloring you like, that can quickly become irrelevant. On the other hand, there is nothing more satisfying than rescuing a cat from a shelter. Pedigrees do vary in temperament, and some breeds are more prone to certain health problems, so its important to understand this before you buy.
